Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Information Communication Technology, the officer will:
- Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure including hardware, software, and networks
- Install and configure computer systems and network components
- Provide technical support and user training on ICT systems
- Maintain and support Microsoft Dynamics NAV portals
- Ensure high system availability with minimal downtime
- Customize and enhance existing portals and develop new ones where necessary
- Identify, document, and resolve system errors across functional modules
- Develop and modify ERP modules based on user requirements
- Support integration with third-party systems
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP)
- Oversee system integration between Business Central and other platforms
- Coordinate transfer of system functions to portals in collaboration with developers
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Manage Active Directory, email servers, and user accounts
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure business continuity
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents
- Prepare and maintain documentation for ICT processes and configurations

Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years as ICT Officer I or in a comparable role
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV development, customization, upgrades, and portal management
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Security and Forensics, Business Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field from a recognized institution
- Membership in a relevant professional body where applicable
- Certification in one or more of the following areas:
- Database Management (Oracle, SQL, DB2 or equivalent)
- Information Security (CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM or equivalent)
- Service Support Operations (ITIL, COBIT or equivalent)
- Network Administration (CCNA, HCNA, N+, HP or equivalent)
- System Administration (MCSE, Linux, Unix or equivalent)
- Software Development (Java, Visual Studio, Python, Oracle or equivalent)
- Proven record of strong performance and professional competence

Basic Salary Scale:
KSh. 70,000 × 6,120 – 100,600 × 7,300 – 129,800 (9 increments)
