About UN WFP
Food aid is distributed globally by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), an intergovernmental agency. It is the biggest humanitarian organization in the world and the main supplier of school lunches.
WFP was established in 1961 and is based in Rome, with offices throughout 80 nations. It provided assistance to more than 128 million individuals in more than 120 countries and territories as of 2021.
