Duties and Responsibilities
Credit Analysis and Appraisal
- Evaluate credit applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards
- Assess borrower creditworthiness by reviewing financial history and repayment behavior
- Analyze the borrower’s repayment capacity using financial models such as debt service ratios
- Verify the suitability and adequacy of collateral provided for loan facilities
- Assess the borrower’s financial contribution to determine commitment to the proposed facility
- Identify potential risks in credit proposals and recommend mitigation measures
- Ensure pricing of credit facilities aligns with internal risk models and policies
- Forward recommendations for approval or return applications for further clarification
Review of Temporary Credit Facilities
- Verify supporting documents for temporary or excess facility requests
- Ensure requests are justified and properly priced
- Confirm availability of reliable repayment sources
- Communicate outcomes or request additional information where necessary
Loan Variations and Adjustments
- Review requests for changes to existing loan facilities
- Ensure all required documentation is provided
- Confirm that requested changes are justified and do not significantly alter the approved terms
- Submit recommendations for further approval or return incomplete applications
Credit Committee Coordination
- Organize Credit Approval Committee meetings for decision-making
- Send meeting invitations and ensure stakeholder participation
- Prepare and present previous meeting minutes for review
- Track action points and ensure follow-up on decisions made
- Record meeting discussions and prepare summaries for further evaluation
Liaison with Senior Credit Committees
- Follow up on credit files pending approval at head office level
- Coordinate responses to queries raised by senior credit reviewers
- Provide explanations and support for decisions made at local committee level
Documentation and Compliance Review
- Review loan documentation, including offer letters, to ensure all approval conditions are met
- Evaluate valuation reports to confirm adequacy of collateral
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Client Engagement and Monitoring
- Conduct site visits and client meetings together with the business team
- Independently assess the borrower’s business operations and financial needs
- Monitor compliance with environmental and social risk standards
- Track progress of financed projects to ensure proper use of funds
