About ITC
Through the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the United Nations (UN), and the International Trade Centre (ITC) share a common mandate. The ITC is a multilateral organization. With its main office in Geneva, the ITC employs about 300 people of over 80 different nationalities.
The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) founded the International Trade Information Center (ITC) in 1964 to support developing nations’ exports. In 1967, the GATT and the recently formed UNCTAD came to an agreement to establish a joint subsidiary. On January 1, 1968, the International Trade Center (ITC) was founded.
