Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will support regional engagement and contribute to the delivery of development and governance priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic political, economic, and development analysis to support partnership goals and planning frameworks
- Monitor trends and identify risks and opportunities that may impact development programs and policy direction
- Deliver timely reports and insights to inform decision-making and strategic engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with county governments, civil society, private sector actors, youth groups, and development partners
- Support implementation of regional and county-level programs by offering contextual insights and resolving delivery challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated and effective program delivery across sectors
- Maintain up-to-date information on county governance, including public financial management and policy reforms
- Contribute to programme design, monitoring, and evaluation processes, including gathering feedback from beneficiaries
- Support planning and execution of high-level visits by providing local insights and identifying engagement opportunities
- Participate in crisis preparedness and response activities, including risk monitoring and coordination with local stakeholders
- Lead delivery of key thematic priorities such as security partnerships, climate change, or other agreed focus areas
- Promote sustainability and long-term impact of development programs across the region
The role requires spending approximately 70–80% of working time in Laikipia (Nanyuki), with additional travel across selected counties in Central and Rift regions.

Requirements / Qualifications

Salary & Benefits (Estimated Range)
- Monthly salary: KES 568,904.86 (subject to tax and statutory deductions)
